Denise manages the gym and serves as its chief financial officer. She also provides much of the vision for the gym, developing unique course offerings and coordinating all the schedules for classes and special events. Originally from New Orleans, she has lived throughout the United States and held numerous managerial positions overseeing large corporate accounts, working in general contracting, and managing a travel agency.
        Her son introduced her to gymnastics when he started out in recreation classes and later joined a boy’s team. “Watching my son, I realized that gymnastics is not just physical, it is mental too. It provided him with a way to challenge his mind through physical fitness.” Gymnastics is a difficult sport that teaches children to overcome obstacles in order to reach goals. “In my son’s case, gymnastics helped him improve his reading and concentration skills.” One of her goals in opening the gym was to provide consistent opportunities for everyone, regardless of their ability level. “Many gyms have a team focus or a recreational focus. Our goal was to open a gym that gave the same opportunities to all participants.” Denise loves her job and is thrilled that the gym is a happy place for so many people. “One of the greatest joys about this job is watching the young gymnasts grow—mentally, physically, and as athletes,” said Denise.
