Advanced Boys Recreational Gymnastics Print E-mail
Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced Boys Recreational Gymnastics (ages five through 18)—These classes, exclusively for boys, introduce them to all the full-sized equipment. They train on rings, high bar, pommel horse, parallel bars, vault, and floor.
We place boys in classes with children of the same age and ability. Some of the specific skills they learn include straddle jump, forward roll, backward roll, handstand, cartwheel, bridge, and splits. As they advance, their skill level increases to include back hip circle, front handspring, vault drills, kip on the high bar, back walk over, back extension, and round-off. The beginning class is geared towards boys with little gymnastics experience. Boys progress through classes as they advance in their skill level. Intermediate and advanced classes meet more frequently and for longer sessions.
