Debbie has been a professional competitive cheer and gymnastics coach since 1997. Her interest in gymnastics began in the fifth grade when a teacher taught her some basic tumbling. A quick study, she was soon enlisted into teaching younger children what she had learned. Debbie has been involved in gymnastics ever since. In addition to gymnastics and tumbling, Debbie was a competitive cheerleader. “I love kids and like to help them do things that make them feel successful and build their self esteem,” says Debbie. “Gymnastics gives children confidence and flexibility. At ICG, the children are always excited, moving forward, and challenged,” she added. Debbie says she encourages the children to try. “Don’t say, ‘I can’t.’ You can do anything if you try!”
