Girl’s Team (ages five through 18, levels 4 through elite, by invitation)—Girls invited onto the junior Olympic team show a high level of dedication and commitment to the sport of gymnastics. Working out from nine to 20 hours per week, depending on level, girls learn competitive routines on the beam, uneven bars, vault, and floor.
Conditioning with a focus on strength and flexibility also plays a big part in their work-out, enabling them to master new and increasingly challenging skills. Teams compete at meets throughout California, the greater Western United States, and nationally at the higher levels. |
